Interim management

Astoria Consulting offers an interim management service for clients who need a senior regeneration professional to work with their existing team for a time-limited period. We have particular experience and expertise in the management of organisational change within regeneration partnerships and local authority regeneration teams.

Here are some examples of the interim management assignments that we have undertaken:

London Borough of Barnet

Astoria Consulting provided interim management support at Barnet Council for nine crucial months during 2003.

As Deputy Head of Regeneration, Mark Teasdale provided sensitive and effective leadership during a time of major organisational change for staff in the Council’s Regeneration Service. As well as implementing a major restructuring exercise, Mark helped to establish a brand new strategic development unit at the core of the Council.

Lee Valley Regional Planning Authority

The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority aims to regenerate the Lee Valley, transforming a neglected back yard into a green wedge extending all the way from inner East London to Hertfordshire.

As Head of Regeneration and Planning from January 2004 to March 2005, Mark Teasdale undertook a strategic review of the Authority’s statutory planning and regeneration functions. As part of the implementation of the review’s findings, he devised and facilitated a successful challenge workshop with public and private sector partners. Mark also managed a multi-disciplinary staff team including development control and policy planners.
