Mark Teasdale - Managing Director
Mark Teasdale founded Astoria Consulting in January 2003.
Mark is a highly experienced consultant and interim manager used to operating at Chief Executive and Board level. He has managed staff teams, multi-agency partnerships and significant resources in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Mark has a strong track record of delivering successful consultancy assignments and of managing consultants in a client side role.
Mark spent several years running community-led regeneration initiatives in two very deprived inner city areas, building partnerships that made a real difference to the lives of local people.
Mark also has first hand experience of rural regeneration, having led the development of a national campaign to rejuvenate small market towns while working for the Rural Development Commission (now the Countryside Agency).
Mark’s practical experience in regeneration, neighbourhood renewal and community development is complemented by a strong policy background in related issues such as planning, sustainable development and housing. Mark is an experienced interim and change manager. He has particular expertise in the management of complex partnership projects.
Mark first trained as an economist and has a Master in Public Affairs & Urban Planning from Princeton University.
Christine Young - Director
Christine is a highly skilled trainer, facilitator and coach. She has extensive experience working with senior stakeholders, both in informal workshops and sessions with a larger audience. Christine has particular expertise in the areas of leadership development, team building and coaching.
Christine has a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Oxford University. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership Development and Consultancy from the Institute of Education at the University of London.
